Guided visits in French and English
The three options available below take place concurrently, only one choice is possible.
OPTION 1: Guided visit of the Observatoire de la Capitale and Parliament Building

The first place to visit in Québec City.
Admire Québec City from its highest look-out: the 31st story of the Marie-Guyart building. The vast glass panels of the Observatory offer spectacular vistas. Discover Québec City of yesteryears with a multimedia interactive presentation. With the help of new technologies, you will be in the midst of the city's rich historical past. Back on terra firma, you will see the city in a new light. You will have felt its pulse before exploring its streets.
The guided visit of the Observatory will be followed by a guided visit of the Parliament Building, just a few steps away, on Parliament hill.
The Parliament Building
In 1985, the Parliament Building was designated a
national historic site by the Government of Québec.
The National Assembly offers free guided visits of the Parliament Building lasting about 30 minutes. During these visits, you will discover :

The Observatory visit costs $10, whereas the visit of the Parliament Building is free.
Both buildings are located some 1 km from the Hotel Manoir Victoria and can be reached easily on foot or by public transportation.
OPTION 2: Guided visit of Old Québec

Groups of 20 persons
This guided pedestrian visit of Old Québec will take you to the Upper City and Lower City accompanied by an experienced professional guide of Tours Voir Québec. Lasting about two hours, the visit covers the architecture, events of major significance and local anecdotes pertaining to the city of Québec, inspired by patrimonial sites such as the Château Frontenac, the Citadelle of Québec / Museum of the Royal 22nd Regiment, the Notre-Dame basilica, the fortifications, the Old Port and the Place Royale as well as less well known sites.
OPTION 3: Guided visit of the Citadelle of Québec and the Residence of the Governor General

This includes a visit of the Citadelle and its museums.
The Citadelle of Québec
The guided visit relates the American attacks, the development of the fortifications and the buildings which make up the Citadelle, in addition to offering an exceptional view of the city of Québec and its environs.
Why was the Citadelle built? What is a bastion
and what is its function? The visit leads the visitors through the Citadelle presenting the history of its construction in connection with its place as a military establishment in the heart of Québec City. Various stops allow presentation of the buildings, bastions as well as the strong points of the Citadelle, and their function in the fortification of the city. The Museum collections and artifacts are located in an old French powder-house dating to 1750 and in an 1842 military prison. One traces the succession of various regimes in Québec City, and the other focuses more on military campaigns and peace missions of the Royal 22nd Regiment, the sole francophone regiment in the Canadian Armed Forces. A temporary annual exposition is also on display.

Guided visit of the Residence of the Governor General of Canada
This magnificent residence is located within the walls of the Citadelle. Its offers spectacular views of the Saint-Lawrence river. Walk through the ceremonial halls while familiarizing yourself with the role of the Governor General of Canada. Discover the unique interior decoration and a remarkable collection of works of art and ancient furniture.
These two visits are accessible to persons with reduced mobility, and are carried out in French or English.
The visit of the Citadelle costs $10, whereas the visit of the Residence of the Governor General of Canada is free.
The Citadelle and the Residence of the Governor General of Canada are located about 1 km from the Hotel Manoir Victoria and are easily accessible on foot.
